Electric Garage Heater

There are many different types of electric garage heaters you can use to heat your garage or to supplement your current source of heating. There are small electric heaters that blow air into the garage and heat the room very quickly. These are small heaters that stand on the floor or even on a workbench. They are perfectly safe and controlled by a thermostat to regulate the heat. If you through a blanket over theses heaters or tip them over, there is no danger because they will automatically shut off. You won’t burn yourself if you touch the heater because a rounded grid protects the heat source. During the summer, you can operate this heater without the heat for general ventilation or to help keep you cool in the garage.

Another type of electric heater senses the heat in the room and adjusts the setting to warm the air. Unlike other models of heaters that have thermostat control, this model uses HI technology so that if the room is cold, the heater will use high output to bring up the temperature to a comfortable level, a medium output as the room heats up and a low output when it reaches the right temperature. This heater provides you with a more energy efficient heating system for your garage.

You can also choose to have electric heaters installed in your garage as baseboard heaters or overhead heaters. These are controlled by a thermostat on the wall and work the same way as the heaters in your home. You turn them up or down as your need for heat increases or decreases. You can get baseboard heaters that automatically shut off when there is something leaning against them. This is a great safety feature where the possibility always exists in a garage that you will accidentally lay something up against the heater.
